America's Finest City
San Diego, California is one of the most beautiful cities in all of America. Here, God’s artistry of great beaches, beautiful mountains, and picturesque desert scapes are on full display. We boast some of the most culturally diverse communities in the nation, all offering incredible cuisine and countless opportunities for entertainment.
Our Local Predicament
San Diego is not only a great place to visit, it is also a phenomenal place to live. All of these fantastic attributes come at a cost, however. There is the literal financial cost. Our cost of living is one of the highest in the country, meaning many have to work multiple jobs or extended hours just to make ends meet. Additionally, given the endless opportunities for recreation and entertainment in San Diego, the majority of San Diegans don’t see the point in going to church. As a city known for its laid-back attitude, there is very little concern for anything but their own pursuit of happiness. These attitudes have deeply impacted the church over the past several years. We believe there is an incredible opportunity to reach the next generation, seeking to fill that God shaped void in their lives.
What could we do together?
We at Common Call San Diego see an incredible opportunity for both new and renewed churches to flourish in this beautiful place we call home. Jesus tells us that the harvest is not only ready and bountiful. However, we need to get to work blessing our community, for the good of our community and bring as many people to Christ as possible. This is the call God has laid on our hearts. While the workers may be few, we are seeking to change this reality.
Passion & Call to the Leaders
Common Call San Diego is seeking to build a network of churches, organizations, and leaders who are willing to work together to reach the next generation of Christ followers. It is our goal to find new and unique models for church planting and rejuvenation that will allow us to grow vibrant, healthy congregations all across San Diego County, and the rest of the nation.

We believe strongly in the power of partnerships with both our preferred providers and with other leaders in our community. Together, as a unified front, we can be part of a revival that will reach countless individuals for Christ.
